The Sanya authorities (Hainan province) launched a special platform to provide government services to high-tech companies. According to the Hainan Daily newspaper, this mechanism will play a strategically important part in the development of the innovation sector. 

According to the article, this platform was created with the participation of Sanya's Development and Reform Committee, with the assistance of city aauthoroties in charge of finance, as well as science, industry and informatization. Investors can now turn to this service center in a single window mode for important business-related advice, including key issues related to official procedures.

The local authorities note that this measure is "an innovative step aimed at creating a top-notch business climate." Moreover, thanks to this platform, entrepreneurs can apply for government grants.

"In order to receive a government award, an enterprise must use this platform and fill out a package of documents. Communicate with only one government agency is necessary," said CEO of Hainan's Smart Marine Science and Technology Zhang Xiaojie. His company recently received an incentive pay of 1 million yuan (about $ 155,000 at current exchange rates).

Sanya is one of key centers of Hainan's economic development, a significant part of its income comes from the service sector. The island's administration plans to transform the city into a leading financial and economic center with advanced infrastructure with the headquarters of large Chinese and foreign companies. This big town, also known worldwide as a first-class resort, is transforming annually, attracting more and more investors.
